Instituto Estadual de Diabetes e Endocrinologia Luiz Capriglione

Located in the center of Rio de Janeiro, this Institute has been standing out as a center of excellence in the treatment, teaching and research of endocrinological and metabolic diseases. In addition to care and follow-up, it also became a pioneer in several academic activities, such as the Specialization courses in Diabetes and Endocrinology and the Residency in Endocrinology and Metabology, the first in the area to be approved by the National Commission for Medical Residency. Clinical research is one of its pillars of performance, with the publication of numerous works. Scientific meetings take place very frequently, with scientific production having multiplied in recent times, with 15 doctors and more than 200 articles published. Teaching and research have always been part of IEDE’s vocation and today they are consolidated as inseparable components of our Mission.
