Hospital Municipalizado Adão Pereira Nunes

Located in Duque de Caxias, in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro, its main lines of care are: Trauma, Adult and Pediatric Urgency and Emergency and High Risk Maternity. It represents the only hospital in the State of Rio de Janeiro to perform limb reimplantation surgeries, with the SOS Reiplante program, which completed eight years of operation in December, with 722 reimplantations and microsurgeries performed in the year. In 2017, a lung was harvested, a procedure that had not occurred in the state for over ten years, being considered the second in the country’s ranking in organ harvesting. He carried out the first bowel capture in the history of Rio de Janeiro. It has already reached a conversion rate of 78%, which is the effective donations in a total number of cases of brain death. Its mission is to embrace the units where management is carried out and always seek the best in achievements and results, but above all, to increase the number of lives saved.
