With great regret we inform you of the passing of Dr. Pedro Aleixo (86), Deputy Secretary General of the Carlos Chagas Medical Graduate Institute and Professor of the Obstetrics course. Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1958), he dedicated his life to masterfully teaching young people the Art of Childbirth. He was Full Professor of Obstetrics at the Medical School of Gama Filho University, headed the clinic at Maternidade Herculano Pinheiro and attended the Obstetrics School at Pr\u00f3-Matre. At the Carlos Chagas Institute, he devoted himself to the Obstetrics course for decades and became Vice-Secretary General. His example of love for Medicine will be forever remembered and his legacy will be eternalized.<\/p>\n
