<\/p>\n
The Chief Executive Officer of the Instituto Superior de Ci\u00eancias da Sa\u00fade Carlos Chagas, in the exercise of his regimental and statutory attributions, considering the need for a regulation to carry out postgraduate courses in the various areas of knowledge of the institutional matrix, in the form of Article 42 , subitems \u201cj\u201d and \u201ct\u201d of the entity\u2019s Bylaws, ad referendum of the congregation, RESOLVES<\/strong> to institute the General Regulations for Lato Sensu Postgraduate Courses<\/strong> in the following terms: Art. 1\u00b0 The Lato Sensu Postgraduate courses taught and offered by the Instituto Superior de Ci\u00eancias da Sa\u00fade Carlos Chagas are based on the legal requirements of the competent bodies, with the objective of offering technical-scientific and professional training in one of the areas of knowledge and are governed by by this regiment in addition to institutional internal rules. Art. 2nd It is incumbent upon the Executive Board of the Instituto Superior de Ci\u00eancias da Sa\u00fade Carlos Chagas to promote the academic, administrative and financial management of the Lato Sensu Graduate courses offered.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER I Art. 3\u00b0 Lato Sensu Graduate Courses are intended for graduates of higher education courses in Brazil or abroad, whose diploma is issued by a recognized and duly registered teaching institution. \u00a71\u00b0 Lato Sensu Postgraduate Courses may be proposed and developed in face-to-face or distance mode, in whole or in part, in accordance with current legislation. \u00a72\u00b0 The curricular components of Lato Sensu Graduate Courses may be organized, offered and developed by subjects or modules, with a minimum total workload of 360h\/a and completion time defined in the Pedagogical Project of each Course (PPC), with compliance with the parameters established in national legislation and in this Regulation. \u00a73\u00b0 Professional Residencies will be considered Lato Sensu Postgraduate Courses, provided they comply with current legislation and this regulation.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER II <\/strong> Art. 6 The proposal for Lato Sensu Postgraduate Courses will follow a standard flow and will be evaluated and organized through specific notices approved by the Executive Board, after consulting the General Coordination of Postgraduate Courses of the Instituto Superior de Ci\u00eancias da Sa\u00fade Carlos Chagas. Art. 7\u00b0 It is up to the Executive Board, after hearing the General Coordination of Postgraduate Studies, in its competences after analysis of scientific and pedagogical merit, to approve Lato Sensu Postgraduate courses. Single paragraph. The pedagogical projects accompanied by market feasibility research, prepared by the applicant, will be presented to the president of the Institute of Medical Postgraduate Studies Carlos Chagas, who will adopt the internal measures of processing, in the form of this regiment. Art. 8\u00b0 Lato Sensu Graduate courses approved by the Executive Board of the Instituto Superior de Ci\u00eancias da Sa\u00fade Carlos Chagas are recognized as regular courses.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER III Art. 9 The General Coordination of Lato Sensu Graduate Courses will be carried out by a Coordinator appointed by the Executive Board of the Carlos Chagas Institute, pursuant to its Bylaws and these regulations. \u00a71\u00b0 The General Coordinator of Postgraduate Courses must be a specific professional in the area of \u200b\u200bknowledge, with a minimum title of Doctor. \u00a72\u00b0 The functions and competences of the Coordinator of each Course will be defined in each approved course project, without prejudice to the administrative and financial management of the Carlos Chagas Institute. \u00a73 According to the Internal Regulations of the Higher Institute of Health Sciences Carlos Chagas, the General Coordinator of Postgraduate Courses is responsible for: a) Coordinate, supervise and take the necessary measures for the functioning of the Course, in accordance with the General Regiment of Courses; CHAPTER <\/strong> Art. 10. The teaching staff of the Lato Sensu Graduate Courses must comply with the specific legislation in force, whose hiring must consider the approved Course project, the terms of partnership and these internal regulations. \u00a71\u00b0 The criteria for accreditation, re-accreditation and dis-accreditation of professors of Lato Sensu Postgraduate Courses must be approved by the Coordination of Postgraduate Courses and by the Executive Board of the Institute.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER VI <\/strong> Art. 11. Lato Sensu Graduate courses will have their duration fixed by the respective Pedagogical Project of the Course (PPC), observing the current legal minimum of 360 hours, in which individual or group study time will not be computed, without teaching assistance , and the one obligatorily reserved for the individual elaboration of Course Completion Work (TCC). \u00a71\u00b0 After the regular period of duration of the course has elapsed, the student will have a maximum period of 12 months to complete delayed curricular activities, including the Course Completion Work (TCC). \u00a72 The student who does not complete the course within the period indicated above, will be entitled to the School Transcript and certification corresponding to the studies carried out, pursuant to art. 35 of this Regulation. \u00a73\u00b0 Early completion may be authorized for students who have completed in advance, and with approval, all the curricular components of the course, at the discretion of the Course Coordinator and the General Coordinator of Postgraduate Courses. Art. 12. The curricular organization of Lato Sensu Post-Graduation courses is based on mandatory curricular components established by the Pedagogical Project of the Course (PCC). Art. 13. Optionally, the student may attend, for purposes of curricular enrichment, curricular components of other Lato Sensu Graduate courses. \u00a71\u00b0 Disciplines taken under the curricular enrichment regime will not entitle the student to be exempted from disciplines in which the student is enrolled. \u00a72\u00b0 The disciplines dealt with in this article may be taken by interested parties who have the basic requirements of prior training demanded by the respective curriculum.<\/span><\/p>\n Art. 14. The student regularly enrolled in a Lato Sensu Postgraduate course who, in a period prior to the enrollment in force, has attended, with approval, disciplines from other Lato Sensu postgraduate courses, may request, through curriculum analysis, waiver of disciplines of your Course or current curriculum, except in cases where the respective Course Pedagogical Project forbids it. \u00a71\u00b0 The curriculum analysis will be carried out by the Course Coordinator in particular or person delegated by him. \u00a72 The curriculum analysis will only take into account information contained in official documents issued by the Higher Education Institution of origin. \u00a73\u00b0 Subsidiarily, at the discretion of the Course Coordinator, proof of verification of knowledge may be required as a complement to the documentation submitted for curricular analysis. Art. 15th. When analyzing the curriculum for use in studies through exemption from a subject, the subject previously taken must: \u00a71\u00b0 To dispense with a subject, contents and workloads of two or more subjects previously taken may be used, provided that they are counted only once. \u00a72\u00b0 The contents and workload of a previously studied subject may be used to exempt two or more subjects, provided that they are counted only once. Art. 16. Curriculum analysis will be carried out, exclusively and definitively, at the moment the student joins the Course. Single paragraph. The waiver of any discipline dealt with in article 14 of this Resolution does not imply any pecuniary reduction.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER VII <\/strong> Art. 17. The selection and enrollment of candidates for the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Courses must be carried out by means of a Public Notice proposed by the General Coordination of Postgraduate Studies and approved by the Board of the Instituto Superior de Ci\u00eancias da Sa\u00fade Carlos Chagas, in the form of its Articles of Incorporation and these regulations. Art. 18. The selection will be the responsibility of the Course Coordinator, following the criteria of the Announcement and respecting the General Rules of Lato Sensu Graduate Courses. I. number of vacancies, minimum and maximum; Art. 19. Enrollment, the formal act of entering the course and binding the institution, will only be effective after the candidate has signed the Educational Services Provision Agreement. \u00a71 Candidates approved and classified in the selection process must comply with the calendar and registration formalities provided for in the Public Notice and in the Course Regulation. \u00a72\u00b0. Extemporaneous enrollment is prohibited when this implies offering a curricular component exclusively for the candidate. Art. 20. Only students holding a graduation course diploma, duly registered in accordance with the requirements of the legislation provided for in the Course Pedagogical Project (PPC) and offer notices, may enroll as regular students in Lato Sensu Postgraduate Courses . \u00a71\u00ba The conditional enrollment of students who present a certificate or statement of graduation from an Undergraduate course, issued by a Higher Education Institution recognized by the Ministry of Education, may be authorized, with the student obliged, through the Term of Commitment, to present the diploma duly registered within the period established by the same, under penalty of suspension of the academic activities carried out. \u00a72\u00b0 In the case of non-submission of the duly registered diploma within the established period, the student will receive a statement of the curricular components and their use.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER VIII <\/strong> Art. 21. Enrollment may be granted, at the discretion of the Course Coordinator, to students transferred from other Postgraduate Lato Sensu courses, provided that the following conditions are met: I. Candidate is regularly enrolled in a similar Graduate course; CHAPTER IX <\/strong> Art. 22. Student attendance at teaching-learning activities provided for in the Course’s Pedagogical Project (PPC) is mandatory. \u00a71\u00b0 In the curricular components offered in the face-to-face modality, the computation of attendance is established by the presence of the student in the stipulated place for the execution of classes and other teaching-learning activities, on the dates and times established in the Course schedule. \u00a72\u00b0 In the curricular components offered in the distance education modality, the frequency is established by the execution of the activities, respecting the student’s autonomy of the teaching-learning activities within the deadlines stipulated in the teaching plan and by the presence, virtual or face-to-face , to carry out mandatory activities established in the Course’s Pedagogical Project (PPC). \u00a73\u00b0 In each curricular component, the mandatory minimum attendance is 75% of the expected workload. Art. 23. The student’s attendance must be registered by the professor responsible for the Course. \u00a71 The attendance of the student body will be registered through its own system. Art. 24. The right to the Exceptional Regime is guaranteed, to compensate for absence from teaching-learning activities, to students with an infectious disease or prevented by some physical limitation, equal to or greater than a period of ten days, to pregnant women and members of representations official sporting events, in accordance with current legislation. \u00a71 The requests relating to the Exceptional Regime must be instructed in accordance with the specific regulations. \u00a72\u00b0 For the cases dealt with in the caput, whenever there is a possibility of harming the student’s learning, in accordance with the Pedagogical Project of the Course (PPC), the request may be rejected by the Coordinator of the specific Course. \u00a73\u00b0 The Exceptional Regime is characterized by the waiver of regular attendance and the carrying out of work and activities to compensate for absences from classes. \u00a74\u00b0 The use of the Exceptional Regime does not suspend the time count for the purpose of curricular completion. \u00a75\u00b0 In addition to the work to compensate for absence from classes, the student may be asked for other activities\/assessments, which will be used to compose the grade for the course.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER IX <\/strong> Art. 22. It is up to the professor responsible for the curricular component to assign grades to the evaluations, and the Course Coordinator to supervise compliance with this obligation. \u00a71\u00b0 The form of evaluation of each curricular component is determined by the professor and must be included in the corresponding Pedagogical Project of the Course (PPC) and Teaching Plan, the latter to be disclosed at the beginning of the respective disciplines. \u00a72nd At the end of each curricular component, the professor must forward the evaluation results to the specific Course Coordinator. \u00a73 The professor must forward the record of grades and attendance to the Secretariat of the Carlos Chagas Institute, within 10 (ten) days after the end of the curricular component. Art. 27. The student who fails one or more curricular components or the student who fits the criteria of art. 22, \u00a72\u00b0, must carry out study recovery using one of the following modalities, at the discretion of the Course Coordinator: \u00a71\u00b0 The recovery of studies must be carried out within the maximum period of completion of the course, that is, within 12 (twelve) months after the end of the regular period of duration of the course; \u00a72\u00b0 The student will pay the amount corresponding to the curricular component, in the cases provided for in items I and II. Art. 28. The student will have the right to request, within a maximum period of 15 (fifteen) days, counted from the official publication disclosed to the student, the revision of the published grade or frequency, being the responsibility of the professor responsible for the curricular component to carry out said revision and return it within 15 days. \u00a71 Requests filed after the deadline will not entitle to the review indicated in the caput. \u00a72\u00b0 In the absence of the professor, it will be up to the Course Coordinator in particular to deliberate on the request. Art. 29. The student who obtains a final grade equal to or greater than 7.0 and a minimum attendance of 75% (seventy-five percent) of the total scheduled workload will be considered approved in the curricular component, except in the curricular components in which the Pedagogical Project of Course (PPC) require higher percentage.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER X <\/strong> Art. 30. Enrolled students must deliver the final version of the Course Completion Work (TCC) to the Course Coordination within the deadline stipulated in the academic calendar, contained in the Course Pedagogical Project (PPC) and in the Selection Notice. Art. 31. The Course Completion Work (TCC) is a mandatory curricular component, part of the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Courses, and aims to complement the academic and professional training of the student with regard to the exercise of research , creation, execution, evaluation and reflection linked to the specialty of each Course, and must be relevant to the Course in question. Its modality will be contained in the Pedagogical Projects of the Courses (PPCs). Art. 32. The Course Completion Work (TCC) follows its own regulation. \u00a71 The guiding professors will be designated by the Course Coordinator and must represent the thematic areas involved in the specialization. \u00a72\u00b0 The orientations will take place at times and places defined by mutual agreement between the students and their advisor, and may be given in person or through the mediation of communication technologies. \u00a73\u00b0 The deadline for the delivery of the Course Completion Work (TCC) is that provided for in article 11 of these Regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER XI <\/strong> Art. 33. The cancellation of the student’s enrollment, in addition to the cases provided for in the Legislation, may occur: I. at the request of the student at any time; II. automatically, when the student does not meet the deadline for completing the Course or commits an act of academic irregularity; III. by act of the Executive Board of the Carlos Chagas Institute after verification of responsibility by a designated Inquiry Committee, with the right to request reconsideration of the interested party to the entity’s meeting. \u00a71\u00b0 Cancellation implies failure in the curricular component that the student is attending. \u00a72\u00b0 Students who have their registration cancelled, by their own request or on the initiative of the Institution, will not be able to return to the Course, having to wait for the opening of a new class and submit to a new selection process, when applicable, as well as curriculum analysis. \u00a73 The student whose registration has been canceled pursuant to items I and II may return to the course by re-enrolling in another class, preceded by a curricular analysis. \u00a74 The student whose registration has been canceled pursuant to item III, is prohibited from re-entering the Course, however, he is entitled to receive the School Transcript. \u00a75 Cancellation does not grant the right to reimbursement of amounts already paid proportionally under the terms of the offer notice and the applicable legislation.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER XII <\/strong> Art. 34. The Lato Sensu Graduate Course grants a certificate with national validity to the student who obtains satisfactory results in the studies. Single paragraph. The student who, meeting the requirements set forth in this Resolution, successfully concludes all subjects and curricular components of the Course, including the Work of Completion of Course (TCC), and respecting the deadline for completion of the Course. Art. 35. Lato Sensu Graduate Course Completion Certificates will be issued by the Carlos Chagas Institute Secretariat. Single paragraph. The deadline for issuing the certificate will be up to 6 (six) months after the end of the period for completing the studies.<\/span><\/p>\n CHAPTER XIV <\/strong> Art. 38. The deadlines for the submission of Course Completion Works (TCC), as well as the deadlines for the completion of any courses whose count has started before the entry into force of this Regulation, will be concluded without changes. Art. 39. Omissions will be resolved by the General Coordination of Postgraduate Studies and by the Executive Board of the Carlos Chagas Institute, within the range of their powers and ultimately by the general meeting. Art. 40. This Resolution may be modified at any time, as decided by the Executive Board, after consulting the General Coordination of Postgraduate Courses.

\nf) Organize the selection process for candidates to the Courses;
\ng) Receive, analyze, deliberate or forward, if necessary, suggestions, complaints, representations or appeals, from students or professors, on any subject relevant to the Courses;
\nh) Request the dismissal of students from the Courses, whether for academic or disciplinary reasons, for non-compliance with the General Rules of Postgraduate Courses of the Institute of Health Sciences Carlos Chagas; i) Develop norms and support regulations for the functioning of the Courses; j) Carry out adaptations and changes in the Internal Rules of the Courses, when necessary;<\/span><\/p>\n
