The Carlos Chagas Institute, a reference in the academic world for graduating more than fifteen thousand students, with about seventy-five different nationalities, works daily with a team of extremely qualified professors and employees, who constantly seek to maintain the level of excellence achieved in more than 60 years of the institution’s history.

Keeping our tradition, we update ourselves year after year to deliver the best teaching to our students.
In recent years, upon assuming his mandate, the acting President, Prof. Dr. Ricardo Cavalcanti Ribeiro, together with his team, studied the best way to meet legal requirements and comply with the issuance of certificates for lato sensu courses, after Brazil modified the Regulatory Marks of Education.

Filed in September 2017, the process of requesting accreditation as a Higher Education Institution, with its academic organization at FACULTY level, was approved at the end of 2018, after a strict inspection by the Commission of Assessors of INEP/MEC with the aim of attesting to the proposed quality.

However, as always, striving for excellence, we decided not to stop. And, with great joy and satisfaction, we are pleased to announce the approval of the ICC accreditation for distance learning, with a significant note, making the option of online classes available to our students. In addition, our Hospital Management Course was also approved by the MEC, which will have an entrance exam open soon.

We will continue to work incessantly to combine tradition and modernity, always aiming at the best teaching for our students.
